HEAT-SHRINKABLE TUBING MADE FROM FLUOROPOLYMERS

Products

We manufacture heat-shrinkable tubing made from PTFE and FEP with a range of different shrinkage ratios and suitable for a variety of applications. For critical applications, at the request of the customer, we can also manufacture our heat-shrinkable tubing in our state-of-the-art class 6 clean room.

In addition to a large number of standard dimensions, we also offer custom manufacturing precisely tailored to the respective application. The customization possibilities are almost limitless in terms of geometry, color, and packaging.

WE DIVIDE OUR HEAT-SHRINKABLE TUBING INTO 6 AREAS

PTFE heat-shrinkable tubing with a shrinkage ratio of 4:1

The expanded inner diameter before use is about 4 times as large as the shrunken diameter. This variant is particularly suitable if the object to be shrunk varies in diameter.

PTFE heat-shrinkable with a shrinkage ratio of 2:1

In this variant, the widened internal diameter before use is approximately twice as large as the diameter after shrinkage. This variant is particularly suitable if the object to be shrunk has what could be considered a constant diameter.

PTFE / FEP dual heat-shrinkable tubing

These heat-shrinkable tubes are equipped with a type of “inner adhesive”. During the shrinking process, the inner part of the shrink tube becomes liquid sealing the object to be shrunk tightly from gases and liquids.

FEP heat-shrinkable tubing with a shrinkage ratio of 1.3:1

Before use, the widened internal diameter is only 30% larger than the shrunken internal diameter. For processing, lower temperatures than those needed for PTFE heat-shrinkable tubing are required, thereby simplifying the shrinkage process

FEP heat-shrinkable tubing with a shrinkage ratio of 1.6:1

Before use, the widened internal diameter is 60% larger than the shrunken internal diameter. This variant is recommended for use in cases with small diameter size fluctuations affecting the object to be shrunk while still offering the possible simplest processing.

FEP roller coatings

Our FEP roller coatings are mainly used for printing rollers, round UV lamps, and rollers in the food industry.

All our heat-shrinkable tubing has one thing in common::

  • They have almost universal chemical resistance
  • Long-term temperature stability from -100°C to +205 (FEP) or +260°C (PTFE)
  • Anti-adhesive (non-stick) surface
  • Exceptional durability
  • Very high UV stability
